Video Contest 2017

video16_flyer artSolano County high school and middle school students and their teachers can win up to $1,500 in cash in Solano County Water Agency’s seventh annual video contest.

Public Service Announcement videos must focus on the selected 2017 theme:

Water Leaks, Gotta Catch Them All!

Judging will be based on entertainment value and originality, videography, style and organization, audio/sound, and movie content and accuracy, including whether the video incorporates the 2017 theme.

  • January 1 through Wednesday, April 12, 2017—Students may submit videos (remember to include a completed Entry Form)
  • April 3, 2017—Intent to Participate Forms due
  • April 17-28, 2017—Judging by water efficiency experts and community leaders
  • May 2, 2017—Winners will be announced on this website
  • May 2017 (Water Awareness Month)—Winners will be presented with cash prizes during a special presentation at their school

Special Prizes for Sponsoring Teachers

The three teachers that submit the most videos will each receive a $200 Amazon gift card (minimum eligibility is 10 videos per teacher).

Prizes for Students

  • First place winner(s): $750
  • Second place winner(s): $500
  • Third place winner(s): $250
